Are blue light glasses better than regular glasses?
No. Ours are two frames with clear lenses that filter part of the blue light from a screen: the Verraux, which is the cat eye shape from our sunglasses, and the Scops, a clubmaster you will only find here. The research doesn’t show they do more for your eyes than ordinary clear lenses, so choose them because you like the frame and want something to wear indoors.
Are these blue light glasses for men, too?
Yes. Every Privado frame is unisex. There is no men’s side and no women’s side — they were made for faces, not categories.
What are the benefits of blue light glasses?
Honestly, fewer than most brands claim. The largest review of the research found no reliable evidence that blue light filtering lenses reduce eye strain, improve sleep, or protect the back of the eye. What they do is filter part of the blue wavelength from a screen and give you a clear-lens frame you can wear indoors and in the evening. We would rather tell you that than sell you something else.
What should I look for in a pair of blue light glasses?
The same things you would look for in any frame: a shape that suits your face, comfort you can wear all day, and materials that do not irritate your skin. Ours are hypoallergenic, scratch resistant, and anti-reflective.
